The trajectory
Month by month, answer by answer
Share-of-answer across the tracked question set, measured monthly on five engines.
The challenge
Engines drew heavily on Reddit threads and affiliate listicles where outdated pricing and a discontinued product line dominated the brand’s footprint. The framing problem, not visibility, was the bottleneck.
What we did
- 01
Footprint audit across every surface the engines cited: Reddit, review sites, affiliate content, YouTube transcripts
- 02
GEO implementation on the Shopify storefront: product schema, Q&A structures, answer-first category pages
- 03
Digital PR program targeting the exact publications the engines cited most in the category
- 04
Community and review strategy to refresh the third-party record with current, accurate product facts
The outcomes
Share-of-answer rose from 12% to 47%, with caveat-framed mentions dropping to near zero
The brand became the first-named recommendation for its hero category on two engines
AI-referred sessions converted at a materially higher rate than paid social traffic
